Eric Robert Dehn

Eric Robert Dehn, 46, of South Haven died Sunday, July 11 at home.

He was born August 4, 1963 in South Haven, Michigan to Roger L. and Barbara A. (Taylor) Dehn. While in high school Eric was on the football, baseball and swimming teams. He also played in the band. Eric graduated from South Haven’s L.C. Mohr High School in 1981. Eric then graduated from Ferris State University in 1985 with his Bachelors of Science in Environmental Health. He worked at the Palisades Nuclear Plant since 1985. Eric married Julie Drost on August 15, 1987. He enjoyed grilling, cooking, the outdoors and going up north, hunting, fishing and baseball. Eric was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven.

He is survived by his wife – Julie Dehn of South Haven, Michigan. Two children – Aaron and Sarah Dehn both at home. Parents – Roger and Barbara Dehn of South Haven, Michigan. One sister – Judy (Rich) Chapman of South Haven, Michigan Two brothers – Jeff (Linda) Dehn of Allegan, Michigan and Karl (Jennifer) Dehn of Battle Creek, Michigan. Nieces and nephews – Jill & Todd Chapman, Chelsea & Alyssa Dehn, Tom & Tyler Allred, Zachary Dehn, Sean & Serena Drost, Stephanie & Shannon Stark. Mother-in-law – Elinore Sanborn of Petoskey, Michigan, brother-in-law – Bruce (Roxanne) Drost of Elmira, New York and sister-in-law – Kathy (Jeff) Stark of Alton, New Hampshire also survives.

Visitation will be from 5 – 9 PM on Thursday, July 15 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 3:00 PM at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to South Haven Ram Boosters or Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
