Dehn Family,
You all are so dear to our hearts and we share the pain involved. Eric was a great man, a caring man whos love for friendship was easily felt by his actions and kindest of words.
I will always remember the many trips taken with Eric to his favorite getaway,the U.P for the spring smelt run and the stories endless of his love for his family.Eric was a friend to many, and my friend, a friend I will truly miss. May Gods love be with you all.The Ridley's

I will always remember Eric as a smiling kid in catcher's gear - smart, funny, and a whiz on the French horn - pushing his hair back and pulling the mask on, coming up throwing. I spent a lot of my youth on the ball field playing with and against Eric, and I always liked it better when he was on my team. A good friend and great teammate, I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Sarah and Aaron, I can't express how very sad and heartbroken I am for you and for your family. I knew your father but through the two of you I learned so much more about Eric. I learned who your father was through your character, your joyous sense of humor and from your smiles with your friends. Those are things your Dad gave to you. You will never forget. You are in my heart, my prayers and in my thoughts. May all the Dehns find comfort in God's Grace and the community of your friends. Blessings~

Eric was a good man. He always seem upbeat and happy. I'm very sadden when I heard about Eric and I'm still in shock. I was shock when he left Palisades. We always talked about his son playing baseball and his brother Karl on how well he was doing and that Eric was very proud of him. Eric will truly be missed. I prayed to God to comfort those who he left and to comfort Eric up in heaven and bring him peace. We will all see Eric again. May God comfort you and give you strength thru this trying time.

Really didn't know Eric, but love the two of you. May God give your family the strength they need to cope with this sadness. Even though I'm a United Methodist, I can proudly say I'm an accompanist and organist at Zion Lutheran Church, in Fort Myers. (Lori Nielsen would be thrilled to hear this -I hope she knows)

Roger, Barb and family:

I know you realize the shock and dismay of Eric’s death and that it will never leave your thoughts. However, I know the “Eric” that you, and all of us that remember him, will eventually bring a smile to your hearts. All the memories I have of him are with a smile. My recollections of Eric as an athlete, a student, a parent, a coach, or just out in the community, was that he always greeted people with a smile. That smile always made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable, and glad to see him and to me, personified who Eric truly was.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you struggle with his loss.

Dear Roger,Barb and family,

I just heard about Eric last night and wanted to send our sympathies to you. I remember the pleasures and fun we had with all the neighborhood kids. Jeff and Eric the quiet ones (but still got into enough trouble) with Karl and Mike going fishing. Good times and wonderful memories we will keep. I know he is in a better place and will look over us all. May God keep you and comfort you during this time of grief. Love and prayers from neighbors from the past.

Eric was a wonderful man and a good friend. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. We feel that we were fortunate to have Eric as a friend and have learned that friendship should never be taken for granted. We will miss Eric’s smile, laughter, good cooking and his leadership in the “locomotion” dance. We wish you all the strength needed to get you through these tough times. We hope you know that we will be there for you if there is anything we could help you with. You have two beautiful children that you should be very proud of. They will need your support and the support of friends to help them with the sorrow from the loss of their father. We will miss Eric.

We were so sad to hear of Eric's passing. The whole Dehn family is in our thoughts and prayers during this time of grief. I have fond memories of Eric and his whole family growing up in school and at the English Lutheran Church. I remember Eric being so nice and kind. He played a great french horn, and was a excellent sportsman. His smile will always remain in my heart, all the way back from childhood. I remember him going to the same University as I, also. To the entire Dehn Family: We are saddened to hear of Eric's passing. Your family has always been a part of our lives and we grieve with you at this time of loss. I am thankful for the time I had this year talking with Eric again during baseball season. As I sit in Tennessee while Ryan plays ball, I am reminded of Eric's love for the game and my great memories of youth baseball and of course our old coach Mr. Dehn. Eric will always be a great friend to Andy and to our entire family. I know your family is strong and we are praying for you as well.

To Aaron and Sarah: Just as I know your dad would have done for me, I will do for him. If there is anyway we can do to help you through this toughest of times, we are here. Lean on others and lean on God's grace for your strength.
