Dear Obrecht Family, Even though I've only known Dave these past few years. I enjoyed the stories of his life experiences - from his college years, Northwestern, AON, the dealerships to his home in South Haven. It was a pleasure to shoot Sunday trap at the SHGC with him at our side. One Sunday last August Dave and I played a round of golf after shooting trap. No matter what I did I could not beat him. I'll always have fond memories of Dave and he will truly be missed. My deepest condolences. Mike Cucinella

Mary and I were saddened to learn of Dave's passing. We were in Phoenix visiting family when we got a call from Mary's sister. I sat with Fran at Christmas eve mass at St Basils. We hadn't seen each other in months and we quietly visited a bit during the service. I met Dave through golf. He was a marshall at Hawkshead at the time. We played golf regularly over the years as our schedules would permit. Dave was a patient golfer and never took it too seriously. He had a great sense of humor and our outings were very enjoyable. David Szarkowski, Chuck Krouse, and Jerry Globenski were frequently part of the group. I few drinks and needling always followed our outings. Dave was a good friend and will be missed. My thoughts of our times that we spent together will include many good times. Kevin Cooney
