Milo's Obituary
Milo V. Collins, 88, of South Haven died Saturday, October 4 at his home.
He was born May 7, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri to Milo and Myrtle (Ramsey) Collins. Milo graduated from High School in Missouri. Milo married Doris Hoey on June 7, 1942 in Hoboken, New Jersey. Milo retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as a chief after 23 years of service. Milo then worked at Auto Specialties in St. Joseph as a Security Guard for 10 years. Milo built his own home and took pride in maintaining his home, yard and gardens. Milo was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Doris Collins who died in 1999.
He is survived by his two sons – Dennis Collins of Pittsfield, Mass, and Milo (Betty) Collins II of Franklin, Wisconsin. Two daughters – Karen (Fiancé - Daniel Johnson) Collins of Pullman, Michigan and Connie (David) Housworth of Allegan, Michigan. 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
