Daniel's Obituary
Daniel Edward White, 68, of Covert died Wednesday, September 10 at home.
He was born August 19, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to Gerald Joseph and Eleanor Margaret (Seagrave) White. Daniel graduated from Kelley High School in Chicago, he them received an associates Degree from Lake Michigan College. Daniel served his country in the U.S. Marines from 1959 – 1965. Daniel worked for VanBuren County Sheriff Department for 18 years leaving in 1983, Falcon Securities as an investigator and then R & L Transport, Battle Creek Terminal as a security supervisor for 8 years retiring in 2005. Daniel enjoyed artwork including stain glass and painting, wood working and lawn work. At one time Daniel was a wine maker. He also enjoyed sitting drinking coffee watching the wildlife at their home. Daniel also enjoyed hunting in his younger years.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by 3 sisters – Gayle Pinder, Norene White and Lilia Dalman.
He is survived by his wife Sue Koch White of Coloma, Michigan. Three brothers – Gerald Joseph White of Decatur, Michigan, William and Jack White both of Illinois. Four sisters – Eileen Melch of Brain Tree, MA. Adrian Toro and Joan Panfil both of Decatur, MI, and Carol Ball of St. Joseph, MI.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 14 from 2 - 4 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating.
