We are saddened to have to say good-bye and to grieve the loss of our Uncle Danny. Our children loved Uncle Dan's smile and humor. I remember many years ago when I first got to know him at a family reunion at Uncle Corkeys home. He was an inspiration to me when I later joined and served in the US Marines through the toughest of times.
I am proud to be able to call him a brother Marine as well as my Uncle Dan.
Semper Fidelis...fair winds and following seas Marine.

Another US Marine has reported for duty and is standing guard on Heaven's streets...we can sleep tonight.

Uncle Dan, may you rest in peace. We will miss you terribly here on earth but I know you are in heaven guarding us all. While on earth you gave us one of the most wonderful gifts of bringing Sue into our lives. She is a remarkable woman and I thank you for bringer her into our family. Sue. I love you and you ARE family. Never forget that. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope you remember that I am only a phone call or a very short drive away should you ever need anything.

To the White family: Many, many years ago, when I was just a teenager, I shared an apartment with 2 other girls from my high school. Our apartment was in South Haven, right next to a much larger apartment rented by the Three Dan's! Dan White, Dan Weston and Dan Getman. They all were Sheriff's Deputies with Van Buren County. We were in awe of them and they bent over backwards to be good to us, to keep us out of trouble and occasionally buy us food! They had a TV, and we didn't, so they'd let us watch their TV when they were at work. They were all perfect gentleman and probably kept us out of much trouble! I have often thought of them all over the years, and it is a very fond memory, and I've occasionally wondered what happened to them! Reading Dan's obituary and finally realizing who he was, made me very sad. Thoughts and prayers are going out to your whole family.

Sue - My sincerest condolences on the passing of Dan. I just today (9-18)found his obit here on Filbrandts website. I met you and Dan on a number of occasions around SH when I worked out of the twp hall for VBCSD, and we always had a laugh-filled boisterous time, didn't we? Dan was a longtime friend of mine and I know he deeply cared for you (although you know how tight-lipped he was!). Again, my thought and prayers are with you, Sue. Always a friend....Charlie

kevin and i were sadden to hear bout uncle dan it was a shock to us also . my prayers are with you aunt sue . it was good to see my relitives but this time i hope it would be happy times next time. i did make a myspace page in rememberance of uncle dan he was very kind hearted person and he will be sadly missed . but some fgood news came out of it in a way we are looking foward to meeting uncle dan's other son andy and his wife andrea with open arms and looking forward in meeting them all . love always tracy & kevin
