Marjorie's Obituary
Marjorie Gresla, 87, of South Haven, MI and formerly of Danielson, Ct. and Monroe, MI died on March 9, 2008 at South Haven Community Hospital. Marjorie was born on December, 13, 1920 to Frank and Lillian (Guncheon) Bock in Monroe, Michigan. Marge, aka - The Boss or The Captain, was well known for her love of her grandchildren, her bridge game, her yard work and her support of the Michigan Marit ime Museum. She had great pride in her home towns of Monroe, Michigan, Danielson, Connecticut and South Haven, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her husband – John F. "Jack" Gresla in 1989 and her brother – Franklin H. Bock in 1992.
Marjorie is survived by her son – Daniel (Renee) Gresla of Orland Park, Illinois, her daughter – Sally (Dayton) Grimm of Tenafly, New Jersey and her grandchildren – Sean Grimm, Mary Gresla and Benjamin Gresla.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 with the memorial service following at 7:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Filbrandt officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery in Monroe, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michigan Maritime Museum, 260 Dyckman Ave., South Haven, Michigan 49090 or the University of Michigan, Office of Development, Attn: Donna Parr, 3003 S.
