Linda, It's only been hours and I miss you already! You were always such a pleasure to be around and brightened my life in words I cannot express.... See you in some other time and place. The legacy of "people you planted" will make this world a better place for eternity. If I learn to be only half as gracious as you were, I will have become a great human being like you. Love and prayers to all who read this and let the memories of her laugh and smile keep us going through this really tough time. Love always........

Linda, I cannot believe you are not here anymore, it seems like just yesterday we were having one of our little "therapy sessions". You could never know how much you mean to me nor could I ever find the words to tell you, but I know now that you will feel it from my heart and that's where you will stay until we meet again. I will be forever grateful that you came in to my life and very honored to call you my FRIEND. Love and miss you... Your Friend, Josie

Words cannot express the deep, deep sorry I feel regarding Linda's loss. She's been a friend of mine since Gelinas Junior High School in the 1960s. Linda always brightened up a room and made everyone smile. I often told her she needed to write a book regarding her 'adventures' as her life was much more than a typical soap opera. She could have made millions. I will forever miss "Lil' Lin'" as she called herself. Linda, the "Window Gang" loves you and will miss you always. My thoughts and prayers are with you Tom, James, Charlie, Donna and Robert. God Bless, Cindy

Linda you were always the "sunshine after the storm". I will never forget the laughs, the talks and the sessions in your car with me, you and Sherry. I will never forget the floating head above the cube either. You always had so many words of wisdom and could ALWAYS MAKE ME LAUGH. Now I know you are up in heaven hanging out on your cloud and making the angels laugh. I will forever miss you. Love Lori

I am still in a state of shock so don't know how this will come out. I thankfully had the GREAT pleasure of working for (even though Lin would have said she worked for me) Linda for 2+ years. Nobody listened to my stories (good & bad) and never judged. I'm so glad that I knew you and when I meet up with you again, I'll buy you a beer. I will miss you terribly but I'm glad you are not suffering. Karin

I am very sorry I can't make the services. I had the pleasure of working with Linda for 3 years. Her dedication to her clients was amazing. Sher was truely a "team player". Her keen sense of humor made working with her a joy. I will miss her. Bob

Dearest Linda in Heaven as most asuredly you are. I am sure you are turning heads there as you did everywhere. I was always amazed, being your little friend, how well you handled the instant celebrity status when you walked into a room, with such grace and style. I admired it. I want to thank you for being part of the wonderful group of friends that welcomed a shy scared teenager into your lives, so many years ago. So many smiles and good laughs. Rest in Peace my dear friend......

Just as nothing could dim the indomitable spirit and wonderful personality we all loved, so time will also not dim the respect and admiration we feel for her courage and strength. I am priviledged to not only have had the opportunity to work with Linda, but to call her my friend.

Dear Linda-- how you will be missed. You put others before yourself and always made a bad situation better. What a smile and sense of humor, and a gifted cartoonist as well. Words cannot express the sense of loss I feel. Although we did not talk that often, when we saw each other at our "Window Gang" reunion it was as if it was just the next day at Ward Melville High School. That's the sign of a true friendship. You always made everyone smile and feel good about themselves, and made our little "Window Gang" very hip and cool. I'm sure going to miss you, but know you are making the Heavens smile now too. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Tom, James, Charlie, Donna and Robert. With much sympathy and love, Marion

Linda was a great friend and a wonderful writer. I also had been a part of the window gang and had not seen Linda for a long time until we met again in Indiana 2005. Even though it had been thiry years since we had visited by the end of the weekend it had seemed like yesterday that we were in high school. I always looked forward to her emails, she had such a wonderful wit. My prayers and thoughts are with Tom, Charles, James, Donna, and Robert. Stephanie Colodny

Dear Miss Linda- Wow, I am seriously at a loss for words to express the heaviness in my heart and yet a thankfulnees that your pain is no longer. I will always admire you for all the wonderful and amazing gifts you had and was always willing to share. I'll miss our wine and back deck talks or "unlicensed therapy sessions". I know you're turning heads and creating laughter in heaven as you did here with us. I will miss you greatly and am truly sorry I could not be at your going away service to tell you in person, "Later". To Tom, Jimmie, Charlie and your entire family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Linda, Linda's family and all her friends. I feel very blessed to have been a life long friend of Linda's. This year marked 35 years since High School graduation day and it seems like yesterday. How fortunate the "Window gang" was to have Linda as our anchor. I am thankful for our 3 reunions in the last 4 years especially the one last October in South Haven, Michigan. I met Tom for the first time and am so thankful that they found each other. I also had a chance to meet many of Linda's wonderful Michigan friends at a wedding reception. Thank you all so much for being there for Linda. Love, Colette

Little Linda, I have learned so much from you. I will always admire your strength and courage. We, "the 3 hot-brown chicks" were just with you on Thursday afternoon, and you still had the strength to find humor. I'm thankful that you allowed us to see you and spend a couple of hours with you, I will cherish that time for ever. I will always love and admire you, I will look up to you :D. P.S. We will continue the "Browning" of America

Ah, Linda. You never did buy me that beer at the Tiki Bar that you promised. You were (are) one of those rare, true blue friends. Odd to talk about you in the past tense. But I know that for you, things are fine now -- it's just those that you left behind that are hurting so much right now. Love ya Li'l Lin(dah)! Rest now.

To Lil Linda's family. My God be with you in your time of sorrow. My prayers are with you as are many many others in Oriental. Lil Linda, I miss you changing my light bulbs in the front office for me. Even though you have been away from Oriental for awhile you will be missed. I know you are in a better place, be happy, be loved and tell Ted hello for me.

Dear Sister; When I was 6 years old, I wrote the following and mailed it at the corner mailbox; Dear God, I would really like a baby sister. Please send her as soon as possible. Thank you. Love, Donna I got what I wished for and more. Now that you are no longer here physically, I have a huge void in my world. I feel your spirit around me constantly, but miss those 3 hour phone calls. You cannot be replaced. I wouldn't even try. What a difference you made in people's lives. You touched everyone you met. Yours was a life well-lived. Save me a place, wherever you are and we'll do lunch. Love you forever.

I didn't know Lil Linda all that well, but I did know that she had such a great sence of humor, she used to make me laugh till I cried with her e-mails and phone calls here at work. My heart was heavy with emotion all day when I found out she had passed. She made a big impression on me and I will never forget her! Cherri Harris
