Herman Lee Perry

Herman Lee Perry, 52, of South Haven went to be with the Lord Friday, January 12 at South Haven Community Hospital.

He was born to Lee and Catherine (Franklin) Perry in South Haven, Michigan. Herman
worked several places through out the years including: Auto Specialties in St. Joseph, Modern Plastics, Clementine’s of South Haven, South Haven Golf Corse and McDonalds. Herman enjoyed playing the electric guitar specializing in Gospel Music. Herman was a member of the New Testament Missionary Baptist Church where he serve as the church musician.

He is preceded in death two sisters – Jenise Lee Perry who died in 1979 and Kathy Perry in 2003.

He is survived by his wife – Roshell Jackson-Perry of Ft. Worth, Texas. Two sons – Jerome Davis of Benton Harbor, Michigan and Omar Williams of Kalamazoo, Michigan. One daughter – Shetlitha Monique David of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Three grandchildren. Parents – Lee and Catherine Perry of South Haven, Michigan. One brother – Jerry Lee (Angie) Perry of Holland, Michigan. Five sisters - Edith King and Dorine Perry both of Atlanta, Georgia, Dorice Perry of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Ruby Small of South Haven, Michigan and Carolyn Perry of Covert, Michigan. Three aunts – Mary Jean Moore of Dalton, Illinois, Beulah Perry of West Memphis. Arkansas and Dorothy of Saginaw, Michigan. Uncle – Arthur Lee Perry of Florida. Special friends – Ruby Calicutt and Dorothy Lewis. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Wake will be Friday, January 19 from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in South Haven Township. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 on Friday at the church with Pastor Dureya Gibson officiating and Pastor Lee Perry eulogizing. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, South Haven.
