Christopher Ridley, 32, of South Haven died Friday, June 16 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Michigan following a brave battle with cancer. Chris was surrounded by family and friends at the time of passing.
He was born May 8, 1974 in Holland, Michigan to Craig and Karyn Ridley. Christopher graduated from South Haven High School in 1992 and received his Associate Degree in electronics from the National Education Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was employed at Whirlpool Corporation in costumer service. He was a member of the VanBuren County Victims Service Unit and a member of NASCAR.
He is preceded in death by grandparents – Wayne M. Ridley and Dorothy E. Ridley.
He is survived by his parents – Craig Ridley of Holland, Michigan and Karyn Ridley of South Haven, Michigan. One sister – Lacey Ridley of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Fiancée – Janna Lamb and her son – Jacob of Stevensville, Michigan. Grandparents – Gerhardt and Marjorie Radtke of South Haven, Michigan.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20 from 6 – 9 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Eric Jarvis officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to VanBuren County Victims Service Unit.
