I am so sorry for your loss. I feel fortunate to have gotten to know Ray over the past year of delivering mail and packages to him. He was a very nice man that seemed to have a very big heart when it came to his grand children. He will be greatly missed but am thankful for the nice memories.

I worked with Ray since 1989 at VBCSO. Prior to that, I knew him during my 13 years at South Haven PD, as a "South Haven boy"! What a great guy we all had in Ray! I'd see him almost daily at VBCSO, and he'd always have a comment, quip or zinger to lay on me!! RIP, Ray. Love you, man.

Brenda & Family,
My words cannot express my sympathy for you in the loss of Ray. Having known Ray from the time he returned to Michigan in the late 80s and working with him side by side for 20+ years, I considered him a true friend. Ray and I ran into each other last week, and had a very nice visit. I think Gods way of letting us see each other before he called Ray home. Find comfort in knowing that he has found forever peace, and rejoice in his memory.

Brenda and all the Guminski family,
We are saddened to learn of Ray''s passing. Although I had not talked with Ray for years I think back to our younger days. We played football together, graduated in the same class and enjoyed many laughs. Ray was a good guy way back than as he been his whole life. May God''s peace be with you.

Brenda and family;
I worked with Ray for a number of years during my career at VBSHO. I looked up to Ray, as he was a mentor to me, and I considered him as my “work dad”. I’m saddened and sorry for your loss. Just know that Ray touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I often find this passage to be comforting for a time such as this;
A reading from the Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
“There is an appointed time for everything,
and a time for everything under the heavens.
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to tear down, and a time to build.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them;
a time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away.
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.”

Brenda and family,
We worked with Ray also at VBSHO for16 years. It was my pleasure to become great friends with Ray. Which he was on the receiving end of MANY pranks and I can honestly say he enjoyed as much as me. It saddens my heart to know he won't be a email away when I have a question I need his opinion on. Ray "YOU WILL" be greatly missed.

Uncle Ray will be missed and always remembered. All the hunting memories and all the taxidermy he did for me. All the stories he and my dad shared, crazy times growing up will never get old. I always wanted to thank him for being willing to help me learn taxidermy which I will try my best to someday be as good as him. With all the hunters in this family we need a taxidermist thats for sure. We love you all aunt Brenda, we will make a point to spend more time like I wish we would have before.

Peggy & Larry and the entire Guminski family,
I am so sorry for your loss. He was taken way too young. Just proves that God only takes the good ones! He is at peace and with your mom and dad. God will take care of him now and you must take care of each other in the weeks and months to come. Remember the good times and cherish them.

Just now heard about Ray''s passing. He was one of my first partners at the sheriff department when I started in 1989 and we always remained friends until I "retired" to Florida in 2000. Bless the family at this time and Brenda, I''ll always remember your assistance when I needed it.
