Joe, Mark and Joan:
My heart is broken known that Alice is gone. She was loved by so many and loved so many in return. She was a dear friend to our family, even after Cindy passed, and my parents both thought the world of both Alice and Joe, often going to visit, and taking over bluegills and pizzelles. She is at peace and will be welcomed with open arms by Cindy, mom, dad and many others. God Bless. Love you all - Chrissy

We are so sorry to hear of your loss, Joe and family. Mrs. Seiler was my Sunday School teacher and song leader at the old Hope Reformed Church on Green Street back in the fifties. She helped to mold my mind with good morals and standards when I was young. Those teachings stayed with me all of my life! God's blessings to you as she joins the angels in heaven. To Joe and the Seiler Family,
Alice was truly a wonderful lady. She was always so kind and loving. I was so happy when Rob had her in Kindergarten. She would always ask about him. And I enjoyed talking to her. Alice will be missed by many.

Joe, Mark & Joanie: So sorry to hear of Alice's passing. Alice was my 1st grade teacher in 1951. I started loving her then and have loved her all this time In the 1st grade I wanted to grow up and look like Mrs. Seiler with the pretty blond hair. We became good friends and she even sang at Frank's & my wedding. She came to know my kids and my grandchildren. They all loved her too. She had such a good sense of humor. One day when my daughter and two granddaughters and I visited, Alice suggested that we have a party. She would give all of us cloths and we could wash her windows. They didn't get washed. I am going to miss "my teacher" and friend very much and so will my family. Love you! Sharon (Norden) Vigh

I am so sorry to hear about Alice's passing. I purchased their home on Cherry Street several years ago, and both of them were so kind, warm, and welcoming to me and my family. I enjoyed Alice's keen sense of humor and quick wit. She was such a wonderful conversationalist and great fun to visit with. My thoughts and prayers are with Joe and his children, and I know Alice is at peace now.

Knew this day was coming; but still does not make it easy . Joe and Alice were not only dear friends , but dear people . Alice was loved by all, and for obvious reasons . Always smiling ,always happy, always ready to help others , and the consummate teacher . Gone, but never forgotten - she has received her well earned peace and eternal rewards .

Joanie...Again, thank you for letting me share your sadness and joy. I met your mother one time, and she was a hoot....not unlike her daughter. Your tales of her are tender and heartwarming. How wonderful to have the kind of relationship you depict. The stories of your mother shine through your life and spirit. How glorious.

Dear Seiler Family:
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Alice, a wonderful wife and mother. She was a loving, giving person. She was the personification of a great teacher. She loved kids and they loved her. Our daughters were very fortunate to be students in her classroom. Alice provided love and learning to many students throughout the years, making them better students and better people. Our family is so blessed to have known such an amazing woman.

Dear Mr. Seiler, Mark and Joanie,
My deepest sympathy goes to the whole family. She was a special lady who was a big part of why our neighborhood was so much fun to grow up in! In later years as we all grew up she would fill me in on what was happening with the family when I came to visit Mom. She would have a big smile with a sparkle in her eye when she spoke of Mark & Joanie and always a bit of laughter. I hope the memories of a life well lived will give you some peace.
Love your long time neighbor and forever friend, Kate and Mark Krenn

Dear Mr. Seiler, Mark, and Joanie,
I just learned about your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Having lost my dad in November, I know the sadness in your hearts. I hope you find peace in the many wonderful memories you hold.
Joanie, your mom was such a special person to so many others. I will always remember coming over to your house to play as a young girl. Your mom was always so welcoming and joyful. Just know she is still with you and always will be an angel at your side.

Joe and family, George and I were sorry to read of Alice's passing. I will always remember her as a kind smile, genuine and friendly. She was welcoming to me as a substitute teacher at Hartman and as a new member at Hope Church many years ago. She has been and will continue to be missed in our community.
Our prayers are with you. God bless you all.

Even though we have been away for a long time, I have so many fond memories of Alice. She was "Mrs. Seiler" for a long time, having been my first grade teacher. I remember what a wonderful teacher she was, an incredible balance of caring and discipline (you didn't dare cross her!). She was also our neighbor and friend and I remember all the neighbor ladies having coffee together in the kitchen or on the deck. It was such a wonderful neighborhood to grow up in because of her, I have not had better neighbors since that time. She was a treasure!

Dear Joe and family, We mourn the loss of Alice. We will never forget her many kindnesses to our children and the affection she showed them in their Hartman years and after. We have many good memories of her. She was very special to us and will be missed dearly. She was a one in a million kind of teacher! Her love of teaching truly showed in how she treated her students and parents of the children. Know that she (& you Joe) will be thought of on every May Day! Dear Mark & Joanie,
I just wanted to say how inspired I was after attending your mom's service yesterday. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out, and obviously impacted numerous lives as evidenced by all in attendance. Thanks for sharing her life with us and being willing to carry out her instructions for the service; I think every one got a kick out of that. Alice knew where she was going and I am thrilled thinking of her laughing and dancing in her eternal home, though sad for you and especially your dad. Though it was wonderful to see how much support he has from friends and family. Thinking of you. Love, Laurie
