I'm heartbroken over the loss of such a great person. I'm very thankful that I had the chance to meet Laura's dad. His kind heart and his sense of humor are what I will miss the most. I see a lot of the same personality traits in his family. It is a great acknowledgement to the kind of person he was that his family is just as sincere as he was. Life imitates "ART"!!

He was appropriately named, he was a walking, talking work of Art. Love, Corky

What do I remember about Uncle Art. His smile, laughter and the pontoon! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Really enjoyed the Tribute video. Some great pictures that brought back some memories for me. I almost forgot how much he loved to sit out on the pontoon boat! I have to say that in some of those earlier years pictures when he was all tan, he looked to me like a handsome actor back in the day.

I remember Uncle Art’s Christmas displays under the tree that he made. I asked him how he did it and one year, I made one under my Mom and Dad's tree. It was a lake that he made with wax paper and blue lights underneath. Always so pretty. All those years of picnics and holidays, I remember. He always used to tease my Mom (his sister Sophie) about being older than him, when in reality, he was older by a little more than a year. It was a running joke and sometimes, he even fooled my Mom. She had to think about it! So many good memories.
