Jon was a sweetheart! I will always remember his parents faithfully watching him play high school basketball 🏀🏀🏀 He was so talented! Jon always greeted me with an amazing smile and sparkling eyes at every turn whether we were kids in junior high, high school or at Western. Later he made sure I never paid for one Rum Runner during the summer visits to Captain Lou’s 20 years ago. I will always fondly remember his friendly style and generosities of spirit. I am deeply saddened for all of the loving Sappanos Family and for Jon’s friends that felt he was their brother too! Rest In Peace sweet soul 🦋

Bear, Carolyn, Don Jr. & the entire family,
We were totally shocked when we heard! John was always like a little brother to many of us. So fun watching him play sports weather hitting a big shot on the court or high jumping like no other. There are many memories of him tagging along with Donny, Jerry & I. Even though we might not if seen each other often we could always pick up right where we left off. He was kind and outgoing, always asking how our family was doing and with that contagious smile of his. Please know our love, thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult of times. RIP Lou!

I am truly sorry to hear about our beloved Jon. I remember how him and my brother, Tommy, were like two "peas in a pod." They were always playing the same sports and needed to be on the same teams. When I got the call from my brother, I knew it had to be something, because he was very emotional. Jon, you have left a lot of friends with broken hearts, but I know your families heart is hurting even more. I pray for Peace in this time of need, and know that you are resting comfortably in the bosom of our good Lord and Saviour. Rest on my friend! Love from the entire McGee Family.

To The Sappanos family and friends please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one Jon.
While Jesus Christ was here on earth he taught his followers to pray for God's kingdom to come and for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6:9,10.
Jesus Christ demonstrated what God's kingdom will do he fed the poor, healed the sick Matthew 15:29-38, raised some of the people that had fallen asleep in death back to life right here on earth one of them was Jesus Christ friend Lazarus that had been laying in a burial tomb for 4 days John 11:11-44.
As the future ruler of God's Kingdom Jesus Christ gave us a beautiful preview of what God's kingdom will do for its subjects Revelation 11:15.
