I will miss my dear friend. I can still hear her laugh, see her smile and remember our conversations about her 2 grandsons who she adored. She was a beautiful person, inside and out.

So sorry to hear of Gayla’s passing. She will be truly missed. She was so wonderful to work with and such a kind soul with such a big heart. I remember her whistling in the office and how it brought a smile to my face. She had a beautiful smile and a fun laugh that always lit up the office. I know she’s in heaven with Jesus because she was an angle on earth. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and that God will give you strength and peace.

Gayla was a wonderful person. Her sewing is mentioned in her obituary. Years ago she helped me with sewing. She would answer questions I asked her on the phone. One time she said, "Mary, you need a different sewing needle in the machine." I did not even know that if you used thick material you used a different needle than if it was cotton material you were sewing with. She was so helpful!
Another time I was making a Halloween costume for my son, Louie, when he was young. I told Gayla the pattern said I had to do a zigzag on a certain part. My sewing machine was a 1917 one and could not do it. She had me go over her house and use her machine. She had me practice on some material so I would know how to do it. How neat was that!
Gayla talked to me about our Lord. She even told me about a church that let women from other churches get together to do a Lady Bible Study once a week. I enjoyed learning a lot that one year I went there. Gayla, you were a great Christian!

I will miss Gayla’s wonderful smile and beautiful ways about her. She was just a light in the world. I loved sitting in front of her in church choir. She truly loved her Lord and Savior and singing his praises. My prayers go out to Guy and all her family and friends.

Dear Guy and family, words can’t express my sorrow as you grieve Gayla’s home going to live with our Lord Jesus. I deeply grieve with you as I and our group of Bible Study Porch Sisters will miss her presence, friendship, wisdom, laugh, sharing, and loving spirit that we’ve shared for so many years. Praying God’s abundant peace and comfort that passes all understanding will guide you through your grief and life. With love and our Lord’s blessings always.

Dear Guy, Amanda, Ken, and Jackie, and to Gayla's mother, Barbara, I am so sad to hear of Gayla’s passing. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. Her absence has left a profound loss for all of you, and will surely be especially difficult for you, Guy. Please know that I am praying for the Lord’s Spirit to comfort and sustain you with the knowledge that you will see her again. In the meantime, just imagine, she now sees Jesus face to face and is basking in the magnificence of His presence and beauty of heaven.

So very sorry to hear of Gayla’s passing.
She loved God & her family so very much.
She fought the fight for a long time.
We knew each other for many, many years.
We taught Sunday School, was in the choir with Gayla, did VBS & Women’s Fellowship among many other ministries at St Peter’s Church for many years.
There aren’t enough words to begin to describe Gayla’s beautiful heart on the inside & out.
Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.
I will truly miss her!
Until we meet again.
Your friend always,
Cathy Will

Guy and family, Barb & family, There are only a chosen few who knew Gayla all of her life and I had that privilege and blessing of knowing her for 69 years. Childhood and adulthood- best friends, birthdays a few days apart, hanging out, camping, dancing, sharing life together and prayer partners. A beautiful woman with a heart and soul of gold. We were always able to pick up where we left off if we were unable to see each other as often due to the miles between us. Always faithful, devoted to family and friends. You weathered the storm of illness and fatigue with grace, dignity and never once did I hear you say, Why Me? A woman of faith, loving her savior. I will see you again, my BFF -sister-in Eternity where we will catch up on things as we always did. I will miss you so much, our talks and texts, and I know how to reach you and talk to you in my prayers. Rest now, my beloved friend, I will love you always. Deb
