Hi to all of you. Hearing of Gene's death has brought back all kinds of wonderful memories, from watching Batman in your basement to campfires in the prairie, and always your dad at the center of them. I'm grateful for his long, rich life and so many years with your mom. I hope you all have wonderful memories to share over the next days and months. Lynn Halverson Kosanovich

Thank you Lynn for you words and great memories. It has been a very difficult few weeks, from hospitalization and short recovery to worsening complications and decision to move forward with hospice. He was there for 3 days and we were at his side and then cremation per his wishes with funeral service, church service and final rest in a beautiful outdoor niche in the cemetery. Dad being dad had it planned but I worked hard on a video tribute which was enjoyed by all. Here with mom still working on the legal/financial part of this and making sure she is ok to stay home with support from friends. Thank you again for your kind words. RIP Gene.

Hi June, Dave, Donna, Bruce, Ken. Hearing of Gene's death brought up so many memories from Matteson days. There are no adequate words, so please know that I am thinking of all of you.
