Jim was instrumental in my coming to repentance and belief in Jesus Christ. He was our BSF teaching leader as we studied the Book of Matthew. He presented the Gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit in such a clear message on. that night in 1993 that very early the next morning I cried out to Jesus for His forgiveness and He changed my life eternally for the best. Jim certainly heard the words of our Lord and Savior “Well done good and faithful servant, enter into my rest! “. Praising Jesus for His loving servant Jim!

I had the pleasure of knowing Jim as my favorite brother-in-law. He was married to my sister Norma before her untimely passing and he took great care of her. I can remember vividly the first time I met him when he came to pick up Norma for their first date. He had a little baby blue sports car that was way too small for him!. I believe it was an Austin Healey Sprite. He was just so big getting out of that little car! He did let me sit in it! I wish I still had the picture of him in that little car. It was hilarious. I pray for peace and comfort for all who knew and loved him.

To Tim and Cheryl,
I was sorry to learn not only of your father's recent passing, but your mom's too not that long ago. I can understand your grief as I lost my father this past year; it seems the tears and grief are so unpredictable and come at times we can't predict or even handle because things will never be the same; however, I can offer you two verses that have gotten me through the unrelenting grief at times:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day -- and not only me, but also to ALL who have longed for His appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1
You and your family are in my heart and prayers during this difficult time -- I pray you will find His peace, comfort, and strength as you navigate this new reality.
Please accept my sincerest condolences and God be with you as you walk this new path.
Blessings and peace to you,
Heidi Smith-Gillespie
