We were so blessed to have the Hodges and our backyard neighbors. I remember Joe and Frank making a fence door so they could continue to bolster relationships.
When Joe was outside we knew where dad was. I was a regular at fence scaling. I can remember Mrs. Hodge at the top of her lungs.."Get off the fence". She had eagle eyes and could sense my presence.
Looking back we have alot of great memories from Punki, camping, back yard burgers and friends that can't be replaced.
Thank you for the great memories, until we meet again.

406 Eloise Drive. A back yard that was magic, a funky dog named Punky Hodge, a back porch that served as the inspiration for my own. Art on the walls, a fireplace in the den, and that big old Suburban in the drive. Sunday hamburgers on the grill, a weekly ritual and tradition, lunch on the porch while it rained. At the time, I did not know how lucky I was to have the Hodge family as our across the back fence neighbors. One day decades later, Mrs. Hodge came out with my mom to sit on my porch which was inspired and built in honor of her family. More decades later while cleaning my own mom's house after her death, I found a holiday card drawn by Joe and sent to our family. That card was framed and it now adds to the holiday spirit in my house. The Hodges are still my neighbors. Influence and inspiration grow in unexpected places, sometimes in the mind of a child who is paying attention. Big Jean de Noc. You are flying with the angels now. Thank you, to you and your entire family. My life was better because you were in it. May your memory be a blessing.
