It is very hard to put into words just how special Marcia was to me, personally, and to my entire family. She was my late husband's aunt and simply because of that marriage union, I was always considered one of Marcia's "dear nieces". Marcia could light up a room simply with her presence. Her smile, laughter, and hugs were always what she greeted everyone with. Over the past three + years, I was blessed to have weekly visits with Marcia, as I was caring for her great grandson, Sam. Every week, we had "Nana Boot" visits, that always included the best adventures. On any given visit at Marcia's, Sam, Marcia and I were always singing, dancing, sharing a meal together, visiting with Marcia's dear friends at Covenant Living, reading books together, arresting the "bad guys", rescuing cats, dogs, reindeer, and elves from burning buildings, helping Santa at his workshop make toys when the elves ran away, going on a road trip to Grand Haven to visit Auntie Kylee(Marcia's granddaughter) at KenzieB Cafe, going on walks in Nana Boot's neighborhood , or spending the afternoon sitting outside watching the big road machines working on tearing up or re-paving roads right outside Nana's door. To me, Marcia was Grandma Wendy, from Peter Pan, who always was up for any adventure Sam suggested, with a twinkle in her eye. She was magical, whimsical, a God loving Christian with a heart as big as the sea. These past few years that I have spent with Marcia have been some of the most blessed and special years of my life. She will always live on in my heart and in my loving memories of her.
Matthew 25:23 - "Well done, good and faithful servant"...........Well Done, dear Marcia:)
