Thelma's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Thelma here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
My grandma was and forever will be one of the most important figures in my life. God gave her the highest level of patience, toughness, and especially love for others, and everyone around her knew that she was always there for you either as someone to help or simply as someone to listen. I saw her last on Easter Sunday and she and I shared a very special moment that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” - Romans 6:4

I remember wonderful times spent with Aunt Thelma at family reunions of the Bradley family. Thelma was such a kind, caring and compassionate woman of God. About 13 years ago when my family was traveling through Michigan we made a stop to visit Arden and Thelma and we felt so welcomed as they showed us around their beautiful home. Rest in Peace Thelma. 🙏

From being welcomed as a visiting college friend of Cristi back in 1985 to a visit to their home last fall, the warmth and laughter from Thelma is something I will forever remember. Such a wonderful woman. “Then Sings My Soul” will forever remind me of her. My most sincere condolences to you, Arden, Sis, Cami and my dearest friend Cristi.

I first met Thelma at Whirlpool. I was a new hire in 1984, young and incredibly anxious about working for a major corporation. I went to the cafeteria to grab some lunch thinking I'd take it to my desk to eat. As I passed her table, she greeted me with a smile and invited me to join her! I did, and she quickly put me at ease. She told me she would love to have my company anytime I stayed in for lunch! I would scan the room and always saw the same sweet smile and friendly wave greeting me. When we started attending First Church in 1990, she was one of the first to welcome us! Please take comfort in knowing how many people will miss her kind and loving presence! She exuded grace and kindness and God's love to all. May your precious memories carry and comfort you as you grieve her loss and prepare to celebrate her life.

To Thelma’s beloved family,
Please accept sympathy from my heart.
I had the opportunity to work along side her at Whirlpool. Oh my stars, did we have fun. In my minds eye, I can still see her giggling.
Most of all, her love for God shone through every day. What a shining example she set. Thankfully separation is temporary and there is the promise of heaven! I love that there is the promise of many mansions and there is no doubt that she will be right there ready to be reunited with you all some day. Praying for you all now, and in the time to come..
Love to you all, Loree Hocker
