We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Alvern here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
To my dear, dear sister, Sandy and my very special neices and nephews and the grandkids all...my heart breaks with yours. I've been thinking about all the special things about Alvern that will be missed. Life just continues to change, sometimes throwing curveballs we never could imagine. But we always know that God is good. And that Alvern...he gets to see God's face first and has extra time with MaClaren. I'm sure he's hugging her now. I love you all. Vonnie

Your husband and dad will be missed. I haven't seen Vern very much lately, but when I did he always said hello, and even sometimes we would talk about all of you. Most of all we would talk about baseball and Rob when he was his coach. My sympathy is with you Sandy, Tom and family and the rest of the Brower family. Vern will be missed. Joyce Weber

Dearest Sandy, Al made me laugh! His stories about teaching those preschoolers... what an incredible man of God. I'm speechless as to what to say for your loss. I trust our Lord's incarnate words will bind up your heart where my words can only fail. He counts not only the hairs of our head (Matt. 10:30) but even our tears, and gathers them into a bottle. Ps. 56:8: “Thou hast kept count of my tossings; put Thou my tears in Thy bottle! Are they not in Thy book?" The blood of Jesus Christ saves and raises dead men, Sandy. You already know this personally but as a reminder, my dear Christian sister, listen to this "thus sayeth the LORD": 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 "But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
