When I was 14 years old Jack sold me a 1965 Ford Galaxy for $35.00. It was in the back lot of the junkyard where we spent so much time riding our dirt bikes and checking out the cool cars. All I needed was the motor. Jack started the car and asked me to bring it back after I pulled the parts I needed. That was 38 years ago and the car I used the motor in is in my garage today. I'll never forget how friendly he was with all us kids, always to remind us to close the doors, hoods, and windows. He spoke with a smile and would always bend slightly when he laughed. Many thanks for the fond memories. God bless you Jack.

My memories go way back to the McDowell School, Jack was in the 7th or 8th grade when I started "beginners", as it was called then.
But, Larry's greatest memory is when Jack drove his stock car (#1) at Air Park Speedway in Douglas back in 1955-56.
And then there is that famous incident when Jack was driving a race car at the Allegan Fair grounds and flew off the track into the pond.
He was a really great guy, and that grin on his face will always be remembered. Sorry for your loss.
