I am truly sorry about Geanette Madsen. A young life cut short too soon. I knew and liked Geanette for a few years. I know she will be missed by her family. Josephine

Geanette was a talented art student in my high school art class room. Her feelings were intense and she expressed them hrough her art. I believe Geanette was talented in her other subjects as well and I always believed she would do well in life. I was shocked and very saddened to hear we had lost dear Geanette. I will always remember her. I will be out of town for the funeral but please know I am with you in my thoughts. Lisa Rostar, art teacher

I am very sorry to hear about Geanette's tragic death. I often wonder why the people who are so gifted, and who can teach us so much about life are the ones who leave us too soon. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

To all who are suffering from this loss: When you lose someone there's not a single moment that you don't remember. May your memories of Geanette's moments strengthen you and keep her with you. They say that nothing can be lost as long as it's not forgotten and I know that Geanette will never be forgotten. Neither will she be lost to you. You have my deepest sympathy.

I was Geanette's 7th grade science teacher. I could tell even 6 years ago that Geanette was one of those special students that could see beyond the lessons and make connections or ask new questions. She has stuck in my mind all these years and I often wondered how she was doing. I was shocked and saddened to hear that she had died. I want to offer my condolences to Geanette's family and a big hug to Christian and Bryttani. I am so sorry! Sincerely, Mrs. Leavitt

My deepest sympathy to Geanette's family. Geanette was a promising young teenager in middle school. Although my class was not her favorite, I always felt she would find her place in the world. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to see her grow. Chris Wagoner Baseline Middle School Physical Education

Dear Family of Geanette My deepest sympathy goes to you over the loss of Geanette. I didn't even know her but when my mom was telling me about her and how she died it brought saddness to my heart. Being a resident of South Haven,MI myself it was shocking to hear that another person died at such a young age. After reading about her and how talented she was in art it was sad to hear about her death when she still had a long life ahead of her. I know that we are not family related on this earth but I believe with all of the terrible things happening in our world today that Jesus is going to return some day soon and then we will all be one great big happy family by the great healer and creator of this world in heaven. There you will get to see Geanette again. In heaven some day soon I believe there will be so much happiness that we won't even remember the bad things on this earth. My prayers are with you. May God continue to give you the strength you need to go about this world we live in. Your friend in Christ,Mike

I've known Geanette since she was in 6th grade. She was my sister's best friend and even when they were mad at each other and didnt talk for months I always thought of her as a member of the family. Even if she hated someone's guts she was not the type to turn someone away when they needed a friend. Of all my sister's friends I was always glad she had someone like Geanette. She was truly one in a million.
