In the sixteen years I taught at Covert High School, I was blessed to be befriended by George Sr, and also his son George Jr. They always greeted me with a broad smile and a cheerful "hello, and how are you?" Whether on the jobsite or in the community, seeing George Sr, (and Jr.) truly brightened my day. My heart felt sympathy for the family's loss is followed by my prayers for this time of sorrow. Still, I also rejoice with them at the ressurection that follows, and the knowledge we will have the opportunity to meet again one day...

We say goodbye to our dear friend and Covert Icon. George was known by many and knew us all by name. We will miss both him and Poochie walking back and forth to the High school, at ballgames and his loud laughter. To the family you have our condolences and our prayers. We will miss your beloved father (and mother) for years to come. God bless you and very sorry I could not make the funeral.
