I'll always remember the fun and conversations that we had as "hot lunch moms". Her great sense of humor and down to earth manner were gifts that enabled her to share her Lord with everyone that she touched. She served the Lord well and was an inspiration to so many of us. I'll remember her fondly and will miss her.

May your hearts be comforted knowing that your mom is with her precious Lord. What a beautiful legacy your mom leaves...a family of believers. Praying your hearts will rejoice with the knowledge that you will all be together again, one day in heaven.

High school trips to Roy and Phyllis' home were always a great time! I will not forget your mom's Peach Pie and her Pineapple Upside Down Cake, a recipe I still use! How timely that your mom can celebrate the Easter resurrection in heaven! And she will spend eternity there with Jesus, Roy and Kelsey. And the rest of you as you look forward to your reunion there. Blessings to all!

Dear Knittel Family...
Both your Dad, Roy, and Mom, Phyllis, were legends in paint and wallpaper decoration in southwestern Michigan. They were artists in their craft and wonderful, wonderful people. I got to know them through Stephanie Visser when they worked on my folks' home on Monroe Blvd. They were true professionals and so patient with my Mom and other heads of households in the Haven. When my husband and I bought our first home, Roy and Phyllis came to paint and paper and in our second home too. We so enjoyed our conversations with them. We always parted with a hug.
I saw Phyllis a few weeks ago and we shared one last hug. Please know your folks will be remembered as genuine, warm, and hard working people. I am sorry for your loss. God bless you all.

To the Knittel family-
We are so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Knittel will be missed. She was such a
good friend to my late parents. She would cook and bake for my dad when he
was so sick. She loved to laugh, and talk about her faith in Jesus Christ.

Lynn, Nancy, and David-Your mom was a very special lady. I will always remember the good times growing up with the Knittel family. Phyllis was our 4H Leader for cooking and our taxi driver to ceramic class. She also helped us get started with our kool-aid stand. I remember in the beginning our mothers supplied us with Kool-aid and sugar. Then they found out how much money we were making and decided we could buy our own supplies. Our parents had a special friendship that lasted 50 years. I can still see them playing euchre every Friday night and enjoying their desserts and coffee. The guys would always brag about how many games they had won and the ladies would have to correct them! I bet when Phyllis arrived in heaven they said-"What took you so long-it's your turn!"

Lynn, Nancy, and I would like to thank everyone for the expressions of condolence as well as the thoughts and prayers that have been offered on our behalf this past week. We could not have asked for a more caring mother or a better Christian example for our lives. We will miss you, Mom.

When someone leaves this world it's so hard to know what to say except we're so sorry she's left her family & friends. She was a wonderful, caring person.
She had such a strong faith so there's no doubt that she's happy, at peace and with Roy smiling that warm and beautiful smile in Heaven right now. She had such a wonderful laugh and a wonderful sense of humor, she always made us smile.
She'll be missed. It's so hard to loose a parent & for that we will keep her family in our prayers. May God give you comfort.
