My first memory of LaVerne was being shown around his bedroom with model airplanes hanging from the ceiling. He filled my head with imagination and wonder. A most cherished memory will always be that of riding with him through the countryside listening to his stories of family life long ago. I believe that LaVerne shared his heart with me, and that sometime, somewhere beyond the rain, somewhere over the rainbow weβll meet againβand share strawberry shortcake!
