Dear Tayler and family,
Your dad was an example and an inspiration to all of his church family. He was always the first to help in any way he could. For many years he was my Bible study friend and we will miss and remember him. We find comfort in knowing that he's with the Lord and his memorial will be a celebration!

Mrs. Seroke, Tayler, Peggy, Jackie and Paula....I am so sorry for your loss.
Mike and I were such good friends in the last several years. We shared car pictures, weed whackers, and all those weird things that friends do. Dogs, and dog stories etc. I will miss him something awful. He was over a couple of weeks ago and helped me put my weed whacker together. We had a devil of a time getting that wheel on the right way. But, he finally made it. Thought we were gonna have to call Bob Ulmer since he had just gotten one like it....but he made it. Thanks Mike. I'll think about you when I'm using it. If there is anything I can help you all with, please don't be bashful....I love that man. He was so happy to see my yellow motor cycle that I just got and said he wished he could ride too. But didn't think his knee would allow it.

My deepest sympathy to all of you. I can't believe that he is gone so fast. He was always talking to me. I talked to him Sunday and asked about Taylor and he said, didn't you just see her go up to communion with me. Taylor, you were so very special to him. He was a wonderful Christian man. We all know where he is with out Lord and Savior in heaven. I will truly miss him.

Dear Taylor, Christopher and Sandy, and the rest of Mike's family. Such a shock. Taylor, you certainly have your Dad's eyes, those beautiful blue eyes. Mike was always good to our families - he'd stop by Countryside and he always made a point of seeing my mom and Aunt Betty. Lean on your family, we are always here for you. Love Always, Deb

We traveled to the last reunion (50 years!) and are so glad we did and had a chance to "catch up" about the last 15 years with Mike. It's always sad to lose a friend...no matter how close we were, no matter how far away we have been.
Please accept our sincere condolences to the Mikes family. We will remember him as the good, sincere person that he was. He will not be forgotten. In our hearts and minds forever, we regret his loss. Sincerely, Dwight and Betty Brenneman

Sandy, Chris, Holly, Tayler and to all of Mike's family:
Taken away so soon.....never to be forgotten.
We wish that we could be here for the visitation and the service; however, life does not work out as we wish. We will be in another state and thinking about each one of you.
Hold onto each other and the many memories that you have all shared.

Mrs. Seroke, Tayler and family:
Mike was a life long friend to my brother Dick Otto, and to our family. We all hung out together and had weekly Sunday dinners, until we all went our separate ways. Mike and I continued to stay in touch through email and an occasional dinner. He was gentle and kind to all he met. His blue eyed smile will be missed.

To The Seroke Family:
Michael will be missed by all. I remember the good times when Mike & I rode around in his 1963 Impala Super Sport ... he even made me take my shoes off before I could get into the car! It is a friendship that we will miss -- God bless you all.

I look at all of these sympathy e-mails and realize what a wonderful man he was. Every time I walked in the library and he was there, he always greeted me, even if I didn't see him. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers go to his family.

To Mike's family. Mike and I were friends in high school and cruised in cars in the early days. Then as we both become older we started running together and we completed our first marathon hand in hand. I got such strength from Mike's support and encouragement during our training and the race. In our later years, we shared lunches and stories at our ROMEO group at the Grove on Friday afternoons. It was so great to reconnect. Both of us still talking about running even though our knees were creaky and both of us faced getting one replaced. He was determined to run one 5K every year. What a great friend! Such a loss personally and the community shares in that loss. I will miss him. He is at peace.

To Michael's Family, I met Michael in 5th grade at my first "boy/girl" party and was quite impressed with those blue eyes! In my Junior year I had a chance to see those eyes close up when he gave me a ride in his red '56 Chevy Convertible. I was hooked! We spent a lot of time together for the next couple of years. Most of my high school memories were made with Michael! As in life, we drifted apart but reconnected in the late 80's. Michael went with me to my 50 year class reunion this summer. So blessed we had that time together. I am so proud to say he one of my closest and dearest friends. What a wonderful man. I will cherish him and our memories forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am glad I got to spend time with Mike when in SH at the Festival of Cars and we shared our passion of classic cars together a good part of the day. I will miss Mike, we worked together many years ago at Bohn Aluminum and he was always encouraging, made me feel important, and was a true friend. I always looked forward to running into Mike at the beach or other SH activities and loved his positive outlook on life and the fact he was genuine.
I'll miss you Mike- rest well my friend. SH will miss Mike also.
My deepest sympathy to his children and family. I am proud to have known Mike and to have been his friend. Chuck Miller and family.

Tayler,
Your Dad was a good friend of mine and was a class act. He had a heart of gold and was a very caring individual. He was a very good friend, especially when in need. I enjoyed riding around with him in his GTO, not to many people can say that. We tried to stay in touch as much as we could and most assuredly, enjoyed talking about the days that were. We worked together at Bohn Aluminum. Mike, Bobby Sherman and myself ran around together for awhile and had many good times. Rest in peace my friend for you will not be forgotten.

As a classmate of Mike's at SHHS (1963) I often ran into Mike on our annual trip back to South Haven, be it on the streets running or at a class reunion. Mike would fill me in on what was going on in town and so it was just 2 months ago at the class of '64 reunion. Mike, you were a good guy and will be missed by many.
