I was very shocked to hear of Carolyn's passing. We have moved away several years ago, but worked with Carolyn and she was such an inspiration to my son as his CCD teacher. Such a good soul.

Carolyn was part of the $5 monthly buffet group (aka.. The Euchre group). I never left sad or without a smile. She always knew how to make someone laugh. She was also a great teacher and looked after all my boys at North Shore. She will be greatly missed but we are all at peace that she is now in heaven and will no longer feel the pain she had while she was here on earth. You will be missed Carolyn.

I've known of Carolyn since we went to Saint Bernards in BH together growing up. We moved to SH at about the same time and I got to know her when she taught religious ed to all five of our children. And they all loved Miss D! I loved her wicked sense of humor and her constant smile. I never saw her without it. The Waaso Family will all miss her. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Carolyn was one of the sweetest, dearest people we have ever known. She taught us a lot about compassion, especially when it came to to children, and she always did it with a smile and a wonderful sense of humor. We have such wonderful memories of Friday night basketball games. And, as much as she took an interest in our family, it was nothing compared to the love and pride she had for her family. She will truly be missed by many, but certainly never forgotten.

Carolyn was a very true friend who was always there for us, for any reason. She was a very kind, thoughtful and generous woman. She treated us (and our families) with much love, like we were part of her own family. The list of positive attributes to describe Carolyn is endless. She always had nice things to say about everybody. She truly valued her family, friends, colleagues, students and faith. She is a true role model! She is loved forever and will forever be part of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Whenever I hear the name Carolyn wether it be from a family, friend, or random person calling for someone on the street, I will always think of the nicest and kindest person I have ever met. Carolyn had a special warming personality (dude), whenever she was around I never wanted her to leave, I loved her company. We all have a very special angel watching over us now, my trips to Michigan will never be the same. I'll miss Carolyn... Rest in heaven

"D" was the first person to welcome me into the school system when I started at Central. We formed a great bond over the years. My three kids all had her as a CCD teacher and still talk about the high fives on the way out of the classroom every week. She will always hold a special spot in my entire family's hearts. We've been lucky to call her a friend, co-worker and teacher. She cared about our family like it was her own. Thanks "D", we miss you already.

Carolyn and I had many professional meetings together over the years. She and I had many chuckles as we floundered through special education paperwork and IEPTs. What I remember the most about her was her calm Christian way of working with special needs children. She is now sitting as God's angel in heaven. Rest in peace my dear friend. Kathy Haines Dailey

I was so sad to hear of Pollack's passing. She had a special place in the Pink family. She wasn't just a family friend to our family, she was more of an Aunt. I will miss Pollack dearly but I know she is up in Heaven fully healed and is loving it. She always knew how to put a smile on my face. Love, Allison

Our family grieves over the death of Carolyn. She was and will continue to be a model of how a friend and educator should live their life. She honored the Lord and exemplified the many virtues of a Christian woman - patience, joy, kindness, self - control, humility, justice, faithfulness, goodness, generosity, and charity. We will miss Carolyn, but heaven will be blessed.

I know you are in the arms of Our Savior, and now have more joy and peace than anyone can ever know, but we will miss you mightily, and will live in the hope that we will be worthy to join you in heaven. You were a beautiful humble soul, kind and gentle, and I admired you greatly. Rest now in peace, and intercede for those of us still on our earthly journey. May the angels lead her into paradise; may the martyrs receive her at her arrival and lead her to the holy city Jerusalem. May choirs of angels receive her and with Lazarus, once a poor man, may she have eternal rest. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen. Our deepest sympathies at the loss of your sister.

Carolyn and I were hired at the same time in 1987 for SHPS. She was always a very positive, kind, and good person. She was...who we all strive to be. I know she will be missed. What a sad day for us on earth, but a joyful one for her walking into Heaven and meeting Jesus. He will love her bright light! I still see her smile and hear her laugh.

With love to Carolyn's family- I had the great privilege of teaching music to Carolyn's kids at North Shore. After watching many of our younger students struggle in the traditional classrooms, I gave a prayer of thanks each time one of my kiddos got to join her class. I know there are angels among us, and I know God used Carolyn's gifts to literally save the lives of her young sudents. They were not the same children after becoming part of her school family. Miracles of hope! Carolyn shared such strength and integrity with our staff. Whenever our principal needed to be absent, Carolyn was the glue that held us together. We love her deeply, and only wish we could have cloned her for each of our buildings. I'm sad that she has earned her wings so early, for we will miss her with all our hearts. God's love and peace to each of you. As Cecilia began to play "Spirit in the Sky" as the recessional, I just laughed with joy. Way to walk up those heavenly stairs! You go, Carolyn! Peace!

D~ W-O-W a packed house today and an endless stream of people last night! There are no need for words. You, lady, were loved! The closing song you chose for today was totally you. What a way to take care of your people one last time and leave them with one last bit of your FUN personality. Clapping and dancing in a Catholic Church! PERFECT! Your sister said today that it must have been a deep love for it to hurt this bad. You know, I didn't expect for it to hurt this bad. I wouldn't trade this pain for anything though. I am blessed to have shared joy, laughter and friendship with you. Jeremy and I love you very much! This isn't goodbye, this is a "see ya!" :)

It is with great sadness I learn of Carolyn's passing. She taught my children at St. Stan's, her first teaching assignment. She was such a warm caring woman, my sincerest sympathy to all her family members, may she rest in God's eternal peace. I still have a plant she gave me all those years ago, when she came to our home for supper, it will always remind me of her. Janet Sage

I am so sad to hear of "Miss D's" passing. She was my First Grade teacher at St. Stanislaus & I remember her so well. She was one of the "cool" teachers that we were all excited to have. I remember her always smiling & laughing. I hung on her every word & adored her. Although I have not seen her since those days (1986?), I feel blessed to have known her & my heart is sad to know that she is no longer in our world. Heaven just got a little more heavenly. I am so sorry for your loss.
