Pompeii was a classmate of mine in Bangor and he was such a funny person; what an out sized personality he had, it does not surprise me he want on to do stage acting. My condolences to the family, he will be missed by those of us that grew up with him in Bangor. God Bless.

It saddens me to learn of Pompeii's passing. Though my relationship dates back to the high school years he made a lasting impression on me with his sunny disposition. Mike Hanner's comment about his "outsized personality" is how I remember him. His brother Ronnie was a fixture of BHS bball for decades and hung the nickname "Shack" on me. My memories of Pomp and Ronnie bring back the joy of being a young man from Bangor Mi. RIP

When I was growing up in Bangor, my brother Michael had many friends that seemed larger than life to me. Pompeii was one of them. He was so nice to the little kids... Always took the time to make you feel present and not in the background. There is a little less kindness in the world now, but Pompeii will be remembered with fondness and smiles.

We were crushed to hear of the loss of our very dear friend Pom-pom! Words cannot even begin to express how sorry and hurt we are to have learned this. We all have been good friends forever, and our memories are countless with you all. We love you Pom-pom and Carrie! I meant what I said. Pom is going to be missed more than ever, and we hurt right along with you Carrie, and Chelsea. We will see you again soon, and I'm just a phone call away. Not goodbye Pom-pom, just see you later.

The hours I spent with Pompeii and his brother Ron were some of the best times I had growing up in Bangor. He was always there with his big heart and smile. I remember how he schooled me on Hendrix and how he was going to change the world of music. We have lost another wonderful soul.
