The Proctor family former Covert residents now living in Brentwood. Tennessee send our heart felt grief to Thelma's family. We grew up on the Southside of Chicago in the public housing project of Altgeld Gardens. Both our families moved in the 1950's to Covert, Michigan. The Proctor family grew up with the Neal family. I will always remember Thelma and her determination to be an asset to her family, friends and community. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to the family of Thelma. I will forever be indebted to Thelma's love and wisdom. The sweetest and most caring woman I've had the blessings to have encountered. I will forever cherish the times she fussed at me for messing with her in the central office at Covert High School. I'm sending love prayers from the Stewart family. God has his angel with him now. Your mother was special to my sons and I. She was their school grandmother at Covert School. Your mother did all the floral arrangements for Jermaine's wedding. She will always hold a special place in my heart because she was there for me during one of the most difficult times in my life. Always telling me to hold my head up. I will always love her for that. Praying for you Dee that God will continue to give you strength and comfort.
