I met Bro and Sis Holt when my family moved to South Haven some years ago. It was a pleasure to see them every time I came to town. Sis. Holt and I had an immediate connection as if we had been friends forever. Brother Holt was friendly, respectful, and fun to talk to. He was obviously a sincere man of God; faithful, humble, yet something in his smile revealed that beautiful peace and joy that came from his soul. I will forever remember him as he frequently danced around the church in worship to our Lord, always with that certain smile on his face.
I know he is dancing now, full of energy and with a big smile.
Nonetheless, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. To Sister Holt: my heart goes out to you for your loss. I pray that God blesses you with peace, strength, and comfort.

Our family has known Brother Holt and Sister Holt since the late 1970s. He was a true man of God and was one of the kindest, truest Christians that ever lived. Our family sends condolences and love to his family, who are also our friends of many long years. We are also praying for the friends and church family of this wonderful man as well. So many of our loved ones have gone on, and we know there will be a wonderful celebration in heaven someday! Brother Holt, we will see you again! Say hello to dad for us! Rest in Jesus, brother...you ran the race with dignity and grace!
