Lupe was my friend. A very kind soul and would stop and buy my roadside veggies on an almost daily schedule. Her words were always of encouragement and of his grace, as she was always concerned for my health after my heart attack and that maybe I should not be working so hard on such a warm day. She used to work with my Mother in law and asked of her health each time we met. She was always inquisitive of my own families health and well being. She seemed as the nicest person Ive ever met in my eyes and am sure she was to many that she met. She would talk of her children and grand children with such hi regard and would share stories of each one. Her husband was her whole heart she would say and how she worried as he worked so hard. She was so joyous each early summer that I opened my veggie stand and so saddened when I would closed my veggie stand each year but always would say. "Allan I will be here to get more cucumbers and other delicious treats from you next year so make sure you are here too,ok? " We would laugh and promise to see each other next year. i will miss her laugh and caring ways.
